Zalmon Giving Back

From Nature Back To Nature

As a local business heavily relying on our local trees, Zalmon is quick to realize that our trees, along with the ecosystem around them, should be our most important business partner.

Therefore, with every purchase of any Zalmon products, you have contributed to our Zalmon Giving Back program, from nature back to nature, and have taken a part in the planting of trees by the Citarum River of Bandung.

Citarum river is the longest and largest river in West Java, Indonesia. The river is highly polluted. In 2008 Asian Development Bank called it the world’s dirtiest river. Revitalization has been ongoing since 2011.

Decoupling economic growth from resource use is one of the most critical and complex challenges humanity is facing today; and as a result our climate is taking up all the punches. If we don’t start changing the way we do business on this planet then soon us too are going to take the punches.

What’s more, is that our fibers are made of 100% natural fibers, without polyester (plastic fibres) and produced digitally with just enough amount of water. Our materials and production are way more eco-friendly!

It may take years to change the policies, but change can begin now when you take action now for your community. Zalmon is committed to minimizing our environmental footprint and hopes to inspire others to do the same.

  • Zalmon actively supports the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (Global Goals) number 11 - 13.
